Colombian singer and philanthropist Shakira has visited Qatar as a guest of the Education Above All Foundation, attending the WISE Summit 2019.
The star, who is also a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and whose humanitarian and advocacy work focuses on universal education and early š¤š©šŖšš„hood development, also learned about Qatar Foundationās efforts and initiatives in the fields of education, science and research, and community development during a visit to Education City.
Shakiraās philanthropic work has included founding the Barefoot Foundation, which aims to make education available to every š¤š©šŖšš„; the Pies Descalzos Foundation, which focuses on improving š¤š©šŖšš„renās education, nutrition, and health; and the ALAS Foundation, which support the implementation of integrated early š¤š©šŖšš„hood public policies.
