After years of delays, production halts, and fan anticipation, Marvel’s Gambit starring Channing Tatum is officially back on track and set for a 2025 release. The long-awaited film, which has seen several iterations since its announcement nearly a decade ago, will finally bring the beloved Cajun mutant to the big screen in a solo adventure.
Tatum, who has been attached to the role of Remy LeBeau (aka Gambit) since 2014, expressed his excitement in an exclusive interview, calling the film “a passion project” and one of the biggest challenges of his career. “Gambit has been with me for so long that it feels like part of who I am now,” Tatum said. “I’ve poured everything into this role, and I can’t wait for fans to see what we’ve created.”
Marvel’s Gambit will focus on Remy LeBeau, a mutant with the ability to charge objects with kinetic energy, causing them to explode. A s𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁ed thief with a mysterious past, Gambit finds himself drawn into a dangerous heist that could change the course of his life and the future of mutants in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
