Not many players can claim to know the Real Madrid dressing room better than Gareth Bale.
The 34-year-old former Welsh international has won it all at the Spanish capital, and while his chapter with Real Madrid did not have a fairytale ending, it does not take anything away from his legendary status at the club.
Recently, the veteran winger spoke to Sky Sports about Real Madrid’s latest sensation Jude Bellingham. When asked if the 20-year-old can be a future Ballon d’Or winner, Bale replied:
“The sky is the limit for him if he keeps doing what he is doing,” making it clear what he thought of the young sensation.
On the blazing start that the midfielder has made in Madrid, Bale said: “I haven’t seen a lot, but he has made a great start, scoring a lot of goals which is important at a club like Madrid. He’s doing well. I hope he keeps on going and makes Britain proud.”
An outright star
Bellingham has not touched the ground since his big-money move to Real Madrid from Borussia Dortmund.
Instead of feeling the pressure of the large price tag, he has taken off with full force and has been the team’s MVP thus far.
In just four official appearances for Real Madrid, the new signing has racked up a stunning five goals and one assist. What makes his numbers even more astonishing is the fact that most of his goal contributions have been decisive and match-winning.

Four games into the new season is undoubtedly early to judge if a new signing is a success or not. Yet, it is clear that Bellingham has integrated well into his new team and that he is appreciated by his peers.
Real Madrid players and the coaching staff have been singing the youngster’s praises from the day he first trained in white.
“From the first moment, when he started training, those of us in the corner of the table looked at each other: Nacho, Lucas, Joselu and we said ‘puff, this guy knows what he’s doing’. You don’t see that he is very fast, that technically he is crazy, but he is very complete,” Dani Carvajal said when asked about the former Dortmund star earlier this week.
The likes of Joselu, David Alaba, and many others have spoken highly of the English prodigy and the kind of impact he has made at Real Madrid.
Needless to say, the sky is the limit and the Ballon d’Or is a real possibility for Bellingham.
