Demi Lovato is unveiling her enchanting Californian residence!

The songstress behind “Skin of My Teeth,” aged 30, graciously welcomed Architectural Digest into her Studio City abode, a place she describes as “psychedelic.” It was in this vibrant dwelling that she worked on her eighth studio album, titled “Holy Fvck.”

In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, Lovato engaged in a quest for a home and found herself immediately captivated by the modern farmhouse she now calls her own. Collaborating with Kat Bell and James Drew, the founders of Argyle Design, she set out to bring her ideal interior design to life.

Sprawling over 8,500 square feet, the six-bedroom, seven-bathroom property is a true reflection of Lovato’s principles and individuality, evident in every corner.

Speaking to AD during a video tour, she shared, “I aimed to infuse each room in this house with a distinct and unique character.” Lovato’s commitment to “spotlighting emerging artists from marginalized communities” is also evident throughout the space.

Upon stepping into the “reception area,” one witnesses Lovato’s maximalist vision realized with striking black-and-white abstract wallpaper juxtaposed against a vivid yellow couch. Even though the singer concedes to spending minimal time in this space, she marvels at the immediate “wow factor” it delivers upon entering the house.

In her display of the glam room, Lovato fondly highlights a neon yellow sign bearing the words, “You’re never fully dressed without a smile.” For her, it serves as a perpetual reminder to maintain a positive outlook. The rest of the room is adorned in a palette of vibrant hot pink and deep green, complementing a salon-style shampoo bowl.

A designated “pup area,” as Lovato affectionately dubs it, offers her canine companions, Batman and Cinderella, a small outdoor sanctuary complete with faux turf and play accessories.

The main living room, awash in eggplant hues, boasts a collection of distinctive elements, from the bonsai tree coffee table to the zebra onyx crystal lamps. Pointing to a plush pig positioned next to her couch, Lovato quips, “And here’s a leather pig, just because.”

Adjacent to the living space is the kitchen, a delightful contrast, adorned with vibrant floral Gucci wallpaper and an iridescent light fixture. Lovato emphasizes the significance of the grand marble island, which she considers a “central piece” due to her penchant for hosting gatherings.
