Max Verstappen has spoken out about the FIA’s latest decision to tighten rear-wing flexibility tests starting from the Chinese Grand Prix, following evaluations from the Australian GP. The FIA’s new regulations, aimed at reducing rear-wing flex, will force teams to comply with stricter 0.5mm deflection limits, with a temporary 0.25mm tolerance for the Shanghai event. While all cars passed the Melbourne tests, the FIA determined that further restrictions were necessary.

Verstappen, when asked about the FIA’s decision, responded: “It’s not a surprise anymore. Every time we get something working well, they change the rules. It’s frustrating, but we’ll adapt.”

His comments hint at frustration with continuous regulatory adjustments, especially after Red Bull’s dominant start to the season.
