And Scarlett Johansson sure knows how to keep her waistline in check. On Thursday the 30-year-old movie star revealed to People how she doesn’t pack on the pounds during Christmas.
‘I make sure I hit the gym a lot before the holidays,’ the Lucy star – who welcomed her first 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥 (𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 girl Rose) earlier this year with husband Romain Dauriac – told the weekly.

Exercising before the barrage of heavy meals and sugar cookies are passed in front of her makes the Don Juan actress feel better.
‘Then I don’t feel guilty about overindulging!’ she added.
Johansson – who is part Scandinavian – also shared what one of her favorite indulgences is.

‘My father makes a traditional Danish pudding with a cherry sauce that is totally decadent and delicious,’ the Dolce & Gabbana spokesperson said.
‘And, my family cooks a Christmas pudding every year that is like a tapioca sort of a pudding with a cherry sauce, warm fruit sauce.
‘It cooks like for the entire day before and the entire house smells like vanilla, because the recipe calls for fresh vanilla. So it is a very Christmas-y scent to me.’

The ex-wife of Ryan Reynolds also lists food as one of her favorite Christmas presents. Well, a gift card for food, actually.
‘My brother got me a gift certificate to our favorite 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥hood restaurant,’ said the Avengers knockout.
‘It was an opportunity for us to spend time together, reminisce and finally try the daiquiris we were always too young to sample.’

As far as how she will spend Christmas, Scarlett said it will be in the kitchen.
‘I like to bake,’ she revealed.
‘And I like to watch old movies – my favorite holiday movie is Home Alone 2, believe it or not!’

In April, Johnasson talked about how she has changed since divorcing Reynolds (who is now married to, and expecting a 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥 with, Blake Lively).
‘I think I know myself better. I feel I know now more of what I need in a relationship, what I want in a relationship,’ she saod.
‘And I know I have more tools to communicate, not just with my partner, but with myself. That’s not necessarily any reflection of who I was married to or what was happening in my marriage, but really where I was in my life.

‘When I was first married, I was much younger. And I have had the opportunity now to work more on getting to know myself. I think that makes you a better partner and somebody who is able to work with somebody and stay in a relationship in the not-romantic moments.
‘I have more patience with myself. I have more patience with my partner. I think that just comes with age, probably.’
Scarlett wed Romain in a private ceremony officiated by Richard J. Miller on October 1 in Philipsburg, Montana. The ceremony took place at the Ranch at Rock Creek.
