“We kinda met in seventh, eighth grade. She was the grade above me, I was kind of the best friend, in the friend zone forever,” he said.

The two were friends for one year, and Mahomes constantly tried to flirt with her. According to reports, it was the quarterback who made the first move on Valentine’s Day. He reportedly bought a rose and a Valentine’s Day card for Brittany. She revealed in an interview that later on she realized that she also liked him, and they began dating.
“I was like, ‘Okay this guy is actually kind of cute. Maybe I do like him.’ So then we just started talking and then started dating,” she said.
