In the quarter-finals of the Arab Club Champions Cup 2023, Cristiano Ronaldo continued to score, contributing to Al-Nassr’s 3-1 victory over Raja CA, securing a spot in the semi-finals.

In the final match of the group stage, Ronaldo was the savior for Al-Nassr with a headed goal in the 87th minute, securing their spot in the quarter-finals. Against Raja, CR7 once again became the hero when he broke the deadlock in the 19th minute with a decisive left-footed shot inside the penalty area.

Notably, this marked his third consecutive goal in the last three matches for Al-Nassr. Prior to this, he went through a seven-game goal drought while wearing the Al-Nassr jersey, and everything changed in the match against Monastir in the Arab Club Champions Cup group stage. Once his spirit and shooting form were restored, Ronaldo returned to his usual self.

Back to the match’s progression, Al-Nassr continued to dominate the game. Within less than 10 minutes, from the 29th to the 38th minute, Ronaldo’s team scored two more goals to lead Raja 3-0. In the 41st minute, Al-Nassr conceded a goal after a defensive mishap that resulted in Abdullah Madu’s own goal.

In the second half, Raja tried to push up their team and search for a goal to reduce the deficit, while Al-Nassr played a slow and solid game to protect their lead. In the end, Al-Nassr secured a 3-1 victory over Raja, advancing to the semi-finals of the Arab Club Champions Cup.

In the semi-finals, Al-Nassr will face Al-Shorta on August 9th.
