Manchester United stars can pay off the full price of their supercars in a matter of minutes thanks to the bumper wage packets handed out by the Premier League challengers.

Going by wages divided by minutes in the league last season, both regular starters and their less successful colleagues were able to pay off luxury motors in no time at all.

With Paul Pogba driving a Rolls Royce Wraith Black Badge and David de Gea opting for an Aston Martin Vantage, skipper Harry Maguire has picked up a more modest Range Rover Sport.

The study, completed by sports platform OLBG, has looked at supercars worth a total of £2.8million, the cheapest of which coming in the form of Bruno Fernandes’ modest Mini Cooper.

According to the research, De Gea could pay off his £160,000 Aston Martin Vantage in under 27 minutes of his time on the pitch if his wages were allocated to playing time only.

Maguire on the other hand would need just under 30 minutes to pay off his £63,390 Range Rover Sport.

His England colleague Luke Shaw would’ve taken just longer than one fixture to cover his Rolls Royce, at 116 minutes for the £250,000 price-tag.

Pogba’s Rolls Royce Wraith Black Badge, worth £300,000, would take just 57 minutes to be bought outright.

More modest options include the Mini Cooper of Fernandes, which cost just £20,000 and could’ve been paid off after just 10 minutes on the field of play.

Fred’s Mercedes-Benz GLE comes in at £55,690, and would’ve taken 34 minutes of playing time.

Marcus Rashford’s Mercedes-AMG G63 and Mason Greenwood’s Mercedes GLC Coupe AMG are valued at £150,000 and £50,000 respectively, working out to 59 minutes and 40 minutes between them.

Based on minutes played in 2020/21, Fernandes could have bought a total of 454 versions of his current motor, with De Gea’s weekly wage enough to afford his Aston Martin Vantage twice.

The Ferrari 488 would need for Nemanja Matic to play for just 62 minutes, with Edison Cavani able to purchase a new Range Rover Sport after every 11 minutes of football.

With Cristiano Ronaldo recently arriving in his Lamborghini Urus, his deal of around £385,000 a week would be just enough to buy two every seven days.
