When the first season of The White Lotus landed in 2021, Alexandra Daddario was propelled into the spotlight thanks to her performance as less-than-happy newlywed Rachel Patton on the hit show. This year, the actor will star as Dr. Rowan Fielding in Mayfair Witches, the small-screen adaptation of Anne Rice’s supernatural horror novels. The cherry on the cake? Daddario has been appointed as a global ambassador for Dior, and she was whisked to Paris to attend the brand’s fall 2023 haute couture show on Monday.

“It’s amazing that I get to be a part of something that I admire so much—there’s something so sophisticated yet sensuous about Dior, which I love,” Alexandra says over Zoom, as she gets ready ahead of the show in the French capital. “When you put on their clothes, you feel both powerful and 𝓈ℯ𝓍y; it’s the perfect combination of everything that you want to feel when you wear something—to feel like the best version of yourself.”

To take her spot on the front row, Daddario opted for a striking two-piece ensemble: a cream button-up bouclé jacket and a matching A-line maxi skirt adorned with a tie-up bow detail at the waist, worn with a simple white vest underneath. To complete the look, she accessorized with a gold bracelet, gold hoop earrings, and a pair of cream lace slingback heels, an “elegant and casual” style that she particularly loves (Daddario has three pairs in different colors in her wardrobe).

“I love how everything that Dior makes has pockets—there’s something so amazing about being able to put your hands in your pockets, especially when it’s a skirt, and this is one of the most gorgeous skirts I’ve ever worn,” she shares. “The whole outfit is beautiful—I feel like a real woman.”

Of her whirlwind trip to Paris, the actor says: “These are the things that you always dream of when you’re young: being able to travel to beautiful places. And I’ve been able to bring the people closest to me along, like my mum, my husband, and best friends,” she shares. “As for the show? The clothes, of course—I can’t wait for my mom to see them with me.”
