Vanessa Kirby struggled to keep her outfit in check as she stunned on the Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One red carpet in New York City.

Monday night saw a host of stars descend on the Rose Theatre for an evening of movie madness and while many turned heads, the 35-year-old British actress drew eyes for another reason.

The Crown star arrived at the glamorous in a long beige coloured silk gown that pooled around her ankles and hide her shoes from view.

She added a layer of drama to the otherwise stunningly simple look by wearing a velvet draped black shawl that attached to her body via a pair of sleek sleeves.

The material hung behind her in a cape-esque fashion as she turned her frame so the cameras could catch a glimpse of her accessory.

However, the slinky spaghetti straps that held the dress up failed to do their job  mid-way through her photoshoot as she slid off her shoulders and down her arms.

The star pulled a shocked face as she clutched onto the material, saving herself from a wardrobe malfunction.

Carrying on and cracking a smile, the actress showed off her minimal makeup and let her long blonde hair hang loose down her back.

Vanessa starred in the seventh instalment of the franchise and returned to reprise her role as Alanna Mitsopolis – ergo White Widow – a part that she first stepped into for the 2018 sequel Mission: Impossible – Fallout.

Reuniting with her cast members on the glitzy evening, she shared an adorable moment with her fellow actress Rebecca Ferguson, 39.

The Swedish star played MI6 agent Ilsa Faust in the upcoming flick – that also starred Tom Cruise – having already appeared as the character in the franchise’s 2015 sequel Rogue Nation.

Lovingly gripping Rebecca’s face, Vanessa was rivalled for outfit of the night as the star stood beside the blonde in a glittering no-sleeved gown and a huge moulded metallic neckpiece.

She slicked back her caramel hair and opted for a similar makeup look to Vanessa, keeping things fresh and minimalistic with a nude lip and smoky eye.
