Selena Gomez sets temperatures soaring with her white beaded halter dress as she SKIPS the red carpet at the Emmy Awards

Selena Gomez didn’t bother with walking the red carpet at the 2022 Emmy Award in Los Angeles on Monday.

Instead, the 30-year-old actress and singer stole the show when she appeared in a gorgeous beaded white dress inside the Microsoft Theater for the main show.

She may have made a low-key entrance after being snubbed in the acting categories for her Hulu comedy series Only Murders In The Building, though she still scored a nomination for Outstanding Comedy Series for producing the acclaimed show, which was ultimately won by Ted Lasso.

Woman in white: Selena Gomez, 30, glowed in a figure-hugging white dress after skipping the red carpet at the 2022 Emmy Awards in Los Angeles on Monday

She stars with Steve Martin and Martin Short in the show, which follows three true crime obsessives who decide to start their own podcast to investigate a mysterious death in their apartment building.

Selena arrived at the Emmys shortly before 6 p.m. PT, after the red carpet had already been closed, according to Harper’s Bazaar.

The Spring Breakers star had all eyes on her in her sleeveless white halter dress, which hugged her curves.

The look got some extra sparkle thanks to tiny beads decorating it.

The raven-haired beauty added a splash of color to her ensemble with dangling earrings featuring green tassels, and she also wore a matching shade of green nail polish, courtesy of celebrity artist Tom Bachick who opted for the OPI shade The Pass is Always Greener as the base, before layering over the brand’s AmazOn… AmazOff and Rated Pea-G over the top.

Her dark tresses were piled elegantly into a bun by celebrity hairstylist Marissa Marino to put the spotlight on her impeccably made-up face and earrings, as well as the high neckline of her dress.

Marissa, who used Moroccanoil products to create the starlet’s updo, said of the look: ‘We wanted something up and sleek to complement the high neckline on her white Celine gown while still having some volume in the front for a retro feel.

‘Moroccanoil’s hydrating products were perfect for adding shine to this special look while also providing a strong hold to last through the night.’

Among the products used on the star were the brand’s Styling Gel Strong, which helped to tame any flyaways, and the Luminous Hairspray Extra Strong to lock in volume and keep the style in place – while the Glimmer Shine helped to ensure a glossy look.

Selena joined her senior costars Steve Martin and Martin Short — both of whom scored acting nominations for their series — on stage to present the award for Outstanding Variety Talk Series.

She got in a zinger about their age after Steve asked her how much time they had left.

PT on NBC and Peacock.

The earlier ceremony, spread out over two nights on September 3 and 4, was dominated by scripted shows including The White Lotus, Euphoria and Stranger Things, along with unscripted fare like Adele’s One Night Only special.

HBO’s acclaimed series Succession leads the nominees this year with 25 nominations.

The premium network is also poised for gold thanks to its limited series The White Lotus, which scored 20 nominations and already won five technical awards at the earlier ceremony.

Netflix’s hit South Korean series Squid Game, which made history as the first non-English language nominee in the Best Drama Series category, is once again nominated.

Apple TV+’s feel-good comedy Ted Lasso, which stars Jason Sudeikis, is also competing for an impressive 20 awards at the Emmys.

Among the presenters who have already been announced are Kerry Washington, who is nominated for executive producing Live In Front Of A Studio Audience: The Facts Of Life And Diff’rent Strokes, Selena Gomez, who is up for the Best Comedy Series award as a producer of Only Murders In The Building, Squid Game’s stars Jung Ho-yeon, competing for Best Supporting Actress, and Lee Jung-jae, who is up for Best Actor.

At the helm: Saturday Night Live star Kenan Thompson will be taking over hosting duties for the first time, and he promised that controversies such as Will Smith’s shocking slap of Chris Rock at the Academy Awards ‘won’t happen again’ under his watch; seen in November 2021

Jimmy Kimmel and Seth Meyers will likely bring some of the comedy from their late-night shows to the Microsoft Theater, and Jean Smart, who plays an aging comedian on HBO Max’s Hacks, will be presenting along with her costar Hannah Einbinder.

Academy Award winning West Side Story star Ariana DeBose will also be joining the presenters, as well Angela Bassett, Amy Poehler, Will Arnett, Kelly Clarkson, Law & Order: SVU veterans Mariska Hargitay and Chris Meloni, Taye Diggs and Diego Luna, among others.

After adopting a Golden Globes–like atmosphere at the 2021 ceremony, the Emmys will continue to seat nominees at tables close to the stage, though the larger venue will now allow more guests to sit in the rows of seats behind them.

Many of the Covid-related restrictions from last year’s event appear to have been dropped for the 2022 edition.

Viewers can catch the Emmy Awards at 8 p.m. ET/ 5 p.m. PT on both NBC and its streaming platform Peacock.
