🇧🇷 Real Madrid star Rodrygo Goes has addressed Liverpool fans directly as speculation over a potential blockbuster move to Anfield continues to heat up this summer.
According to AS, Liverpool have officially entered the race for the Brazilian forward by sending a delegation to Madrid to begin formal negotiations. The Reds are reportedly prepared to go all-in, making Rodrygo their top transfer target to bolster the left wing for the 2025/26 season.
🔴 A deal, however, won’t come cheap. Real Madrid are open to parting ways with the 23-year-old if they receive a bid in the region of €100 million, though the operation is complicated and closely tied to the future of Luis Díaz.
Liverpool have already rejected a €70 million offer from Bayern Munich for Díaz, but the German champions are still in the race – not just for the Colombian, but also considering Rodrygo as their Plan B. Arsenal are monitoring the situation too, though their recent spending spree has weakened their chances.
📣 In a brief message shared through Brazilian outlet Globo Esporte, Rodrygo broke his silence amid the swirling rumors: “I’ve seen the reports and I appreciate the interest from Liverpool – it’s an incredible club with passionate fans. But for now, my focus is on speaking with Real Madrid and understanding what role I’ll have next season.”
He added: “Wherever I play, I just want to feel valued and be able to give my best. Let’s see what the next few weeks bring.”
With Endrick set to arrive and Franco Mastantuono already impressing in pre-season, Rodrygo’s position in Xabi Alonso’s Real Madrid plans could be compromised – potentially opening the door to an exit.
The coming weeks are expected to be pivotal. Liverpool’s commitment to sending representatives to Madrid underlines their seriousness, but pulling off the transfer will ultimately depend on two factors: offloading Luis Díaz for a significant fee and Rodrygo’s own decision after meeting with Madrid’s board.
⚽ The stage is set for one of the most dramatic transfer battles of the summer.
