Bryson DeChambeau hopes LIV Golf will make a return to Dallas after his Crushers GC franchise came away with the team title at Maridoe Golf Club.

DeChambeau led his team to victory in Dallas, as the Crushers saw off Dustin Johnson’s 4Aces and Jon Rahm’s Legion XIII to the crown. It proved a special week for the two-time U.S. Open champion, who was back competing in his home state.

And while he was unable to come away with the individual crown, won by another Texan in Patrick Reed, DeChambeau more than made his mark on the other side of the leaderboard.

The former PGA Tour man was treating it as a home event in front of a home crowd at Maridoe, and he has called on the league’s bosses to keep the trip to Dallas on the schedule moving forward.

“Look what this week did for LIV Golf,” the Crushers captain told reporters.

“I think and hope that they see that and see the potential with this market. It’s conversations we’re going to have. But I’d love to be back here. It would be a lot of fun.”

A bumper crowd descended on the golf course throughout the three days, with the pull of DeChambeau no doubt playing its part.

The 31-year-old had been instrumental throughout the week, even taking to the entertainment stage post-round on Saturday to create some atmosphere among those who came down to watch both the golf and an appearance from Texan rock band Whiskey Myers.

Speaking on his experience on stage, DeChambeau said: “It was fun getting up there on stage and thanking Dallas. I have to say thank you to Dallas for them showing up this week. I think it’s one of our best events in the States. There was 12,000 people yesterday.

“I don’t know how many there were today but it seemed like there was quite a bit. Dallas showed up, and this is what I expected. This is what I thought. This is what I thought was possible. Our team showed up. I’ve just got to say I’m super thankful to Dallas and super thankful for the team for playing as well as they did.

“We’ve got more to go, though. We’re not finished. We want to win that Team Championship at the end of the year as well.”

DeChambeau and co will more than fancy their chances of taking the team crown, with victory in Dallas their third on the bounce after wins in Korea and Virginia.

It leaves them sitting pretty at the top of the team standings ahead of Legion XIII.

“We just played stellar golf today,” said the captain. “To three-peat here in Dallas in my hometown is fantastic. The people showed up, they showed out, and what a great atmosphere. This is what LIV Golf is all about. Man, I’m super pumped for more to come.”
