The war between faith and darkness rages once more. Priest 2: Faithless Dawn has officially unveiled its new trailer, giving fans a chilling glimpse into the long-awaited sequel to the cult 2011 vampire-action thriller Priest. With Paul Bettany returning in the titular role and Tom Hardy joining the cast as a mysterious rival warrior, the 2025 installment looks bigger, bloodier, and more apocalyptic than ever.
Set to premiere worldwide on September 19, 2025, the film picks up a decade after the events of the original. The world is broken. The Church’s control has crumbled. And from the shadows of the wastelands rises a new enemy — the Crimson Queen, a vampire hybrid who seeks to plunge humanity into eternal night.
The trailer opens with haunting Gregorian chants echoing over shots of scorched cities and shattered cathedrals. Paul Bettany’s hardened Priest is seen wielding his iconic cross-shaped blades, now scarred and excommunicated. Meanwhile, Tom Hardy appears as Malak, a rogue priest-turned-mercenary who may be mankind’s last hope—or its greatest threat.
“You abandoned faith,” Malak says to Priest in the trailer. “Now faith is coming for you.”
Directed by Scott Stewart, who returns to expand his dystopian vision, the sequel dives deeper into the mythology of the vampire-warrior priests and their brutal code. The film also stars Anya Chalotra as the Crimson Queen and Giancarlo Esposito as a high-ranking defector from the Church.
Produced by Screen Gems, Midnight Run Films, and Sony Pictures, Priest 2: Faithless Dawn promises thunderous action, gothic visuals, and a brutal spiritual reckoning.
