❄️ Plot Overview

Set in a remote mountain village in northern Japan, the film follows Haruka Ito (played by Rinko Kikuchi), a grieving woman who isolates herself in a family-owned cabin after the tragic loss of her daughter. When strange text messages begin appearing on her disconnected phone — all ending with “Are you alone?” — her retreat turns into a chilling nightmare.

Soon, Haruka begins seeing a dancing, long-limbed figure just outside her frosted windows. Villagers whisper about Yuki-Onna, but her appearance matches something far more modern and sinister: Momo.

As temperatures plummet and snow traps her inside, Haruka must confront the haunted messages, the creeping figure, and the truth about what really followed her into the mountains.
