A haunting return to one of horror cinema’s most chilling stories is on the way — Don’t Look Now (2025) is officially coming, and its brand-new teaser trailer has just dropped, offering a chilling glimpse into the atmospheric nightmare that awaits.

Directed by Ari Aster (Hereditary, Midsommar), this remake of Nicolas Roeg’s 1973 cult classic reimagines the grief-stricken descent of a couple torn apart by the tragic death of their daughter in Venice.

Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield take on the lead roles as Laura and John Baxter, delivering raw and emotionally charged performances in a setting where beauty and decay bleed into one another. Set in the haunting canals of Venice, the teaser hints at visions of a mysterious figure in red and an overwhelming sense of dread that grows with every step.

The trailer features cryptic whispers, flickers of supernatural entities, and a sinister tone underscored by a minimalist score from composer Hildur Guðnadóttir. One scene, in particular, shows Garfield’s character chasing a red-coated figure through the fog — a clear homage to the iconic original ending.

“Some tragedies never leave you… Some ghosts never forgive,” reads the ominous tagline at the end of the trailer.

Don’t Look Now (2025) is produced by A24 and Searchlight Pictures, and is set to premiere in select theaters on October 3, 2025, before releasing on streaming platforms later in the month.
