Antarctica has never been colder… or more terrifying.
Universal Pictures has just dropped the teaser trailer for the much-anticipated remake of “The Thing”, set for release in October 2025. Directed by David F. Sandberg (Lights Out, Annabelle: Creation) and produced by Blumhouse in collaboration with Universal, the film stars Sebastian Stan as MacReady, stepping into the role made famous by Kurt Russell. He’s joined by Rebecca Ferguson, LaKeith Stanfield, and Rami Malek in a high-stakes survival horror where trust is nonexistent — and the monster could be anyone.
🧊 Plot Tease: A group of scientists stationed in a remote Antarctic research facility encounter a lifeform that assimilates and imitates any organism it touches. As paranoia spreads like frostbite, the team must face the horrifying truth: the Thing is already among them.
🎬 The teaser offers flickering shots of isolation, snowstorms, bloodied test tubes, and a final moment showing a screaming face morphing into an alien terror — a direct homage to Rob Bottin’s legendary practical effects.
