He’s back—and he’s not done yet. The first concept trailer for Police Story 7 (2026) has just been released, delivering a high-octane glimpse at what could be Jackie Chan’s final outing as the legendary Inspector Chan Ka-Kui, the role that made him a global action icon.
Titled Police Story 7: Final Justice, this new installment blends gritty crime drama with Chan’s signature death-defying stunts and heartfelt storytelling. Set in modern-day Hong Kong, the story follows a now-retired Inspector Chan, pulled back into action after a wave of high-tech heists linked to his past team surfaces—along with a new generation of corrupt officers on both sides of the law.
The trailer features fast-paced hand-to-hand combat, rooftop foot chases, and Chan—at 72—still doing his own jaw-dropping stunts. A standout moment shows him sliding down the side of a skyscraper in a scene reminiscent of the original Police Story (1985), while yelling, “You think I’m too old for this? Watch me!”
Also featured in the cast:
-
Donnie Yen as a former protégé turned ruthless gang enforcer
-
Liu Yifei as Chan’s estranged daughter, now an elite cybercrime agent
-
Tony Leung as a mysterious government official hiding a dark secret
Directed by Benny Chan Jr., son of the late action director Benny Chan, Police Story 7 is being hailed as a love letter to Chan’s legacy, blending nostalgia with modern action filmmaking.
Fans flooded social media within minutes of the trailer drop, with hashtags like #PoliceStory7, #JackieChanReturns, and #FinalJustice trending across Asia and beyond.
While the project is currently labeled a “Concept Trailer,” sources suggest production is underway with a tentative release date set for Chinese New Year 2026.
