May 24, 2025 — Park City, Utah — A24 has unleashed the teaser trailer for Hereditary 2 (2025), and it’s already leaving audiences shaken and silent — again. Marking the return of director Ari Aster to the nightmarish world he created in 2018’s Hereditary, the film promises a terrifying continuation of the cult, grief, and generational trauma that made the original a modern horror masterpiece.

The teaser — just 70 seconds long — offers no dialogue. It begins in near silence, with the slow, eerie sound of tongue clicking echoing across black screen. Faint chanting begins as the camera slowly moves through a burned-out attic. The old triangle sigil reappears on the floor, this time drawn in fresh blood.
A voice, distorted and calm, breaks the silence:
“The crown has passed. But the vessel is not yet complete.”
Cut to flashes of a young girl staring blankly in a mirror, a mummified figure bound in gold thread, and a flickering candle flame that moves on its own.
The screen cuts to black. Then, very slowly, a smiling face appears — upside down. The sound of distant screaming grows louder before abruptly cutting to silence.
