Slated for a 2026 global theatrical release, One Punch Man stars Jason Statham as the bald-headed, cape-wearing, world-saving hero Saitama, whose ability to defeat any opponent with a single punch has made him both feared and hilariously frustrated.
Directed by David Leitch (Bullet Train, Deadpool 2), the film blends high-octane action, stylized martial arts, and sharp comedy—all while staying true to the absurd and philosophical tone of the original manga and anime series created by ONE.
The teaser showcases:
-
A gritty montage of monster attacks leveling futuristic cities
-
A stoic, clean-shaven Statham in a yellow jumpsuit muttering, “I’m just a hero for fun.”
-
Tom Holland as Genos, the cyber-enhanced disciple of Saitama, with intense fight choreography and upgraded CGI weaponry
-
A brief glimpse of Charlize Theron as the mysterious Tornado of Terror (Tatsumaki), levitating debris mid-battle with green psychic energy crackling around her
“This isn’t just about superpowers—it’s about identity, purpose, and what happens when power comes without challenge,” said Leitch during the trailer reveal panel at Anime Expo 2025.
Fans are already buzzing over the faithful visual aesthetics, with the teaser echoing the anime’s over-the-top tone—ranging from absurdly epic battles to Statham deadpanning after obliterating a giant alien with one effortless punch.
The teaser ends with a black screen and one iconic line:
“OK.”
One Punch Man will hit theaters Summer 2026, with a full-length trailer expected later this year.
