Patrick Wilson reprises his iconic role as Josh Lambert, marking his fourth on-screen appearance in the saga, alongside Ty Simpkins as his haunted son, Dalton. This time, the stakes are higher, and the world of spirits is beginning to merge with reality.
“This film dives into the consequences of opening doors that were never meant to be opened,” said Wilson in a behind-the-scenes featurette. “It’s about family, trauma, and the terrifying bleed-through of The Further into our own world.”
The trailer, which dropped early Monday morning, opens with eerie whispers and flashes of the infamous red-faced demon before revealing a new realm known as “The Bleeding World” — a decaying mirror dimension where the spirits of the dead don’t just haunt, they hunt.
Directed by Michael Chaves (The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It), this chapter promises a return to the franchise’s slow-burn dread and spine-tingling set pieces. Wilson is also credited as an executive producer, continuing his deeper involvement in shaping the Lambert family’s story since directing Insidious: The Red Door in 2023.
Fans have already flooded social media with theories, praising the trailer’s disturbing visuals, haunting score, and cryptic final line: “The world isn’t bleeding into The Further. The Further is bleeding into us.”
Insidious: Chapter 6: The Bleeding World is set to hit theaters worldwide on October 17, 2025, just in time for Halloween.
