The nightmare continues. The cult horror franchise Wrong Turn is back with its ninth installment, Wrong Turn 9: Last Turns in the Woods, and the first official trailer has just been unleashed — sending chills down the spines of horror fans worldwide.

Set to hit theaters in fall 2025, this new chapter dives deeper into the haunting mythology of the West Virginia woods, where a new group of unsuspecting hikers finds themselves entangled in the blood-soaked legacy of the mutant cannibal clan that has stalked the forest for generations.
The trailer opens with an eerie shot of dense fog rolling over a forgotten trail, as a voiceover whispers, “This wasn’t just a wrong turn. It was the last one.” What follows is a chilling montage of suspenseful chase scenes, brutal traps, and disturbing glimpses of the new generation of mountain-dwelling 𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁ers — descendants of the original inbred family from the early films.
Returning to direct is horror veteran Mike P. Nelson, who rebooted the series in 2021, now aiming to close this grisly saga with the most intense installment yet. “This film is our final descent into madness,” Nelson says. “It’s darker, more psychological, and will challenge everything fans think they know about the Wrong Turn legacy.”
Last Turns in the Woods also marks the return of a familiar face — Desmond Harrington reprises his role as Chris Flynn, the sole survivor from the 2003 original, now a haunted man determined to face his past and uncover the truth behind the monstrous bloodline.
The trailer also teases fresh faces, including breakout scream queen Maya Jenkins and horror newcomer Brandon Kilgore, as part of a doomed search-and-rescue team that ventures into the cursed forest after a series of unexplained disappearances.
Lionsgate is banking on a successful run, with Wrong Turn 9 being billed as the “ultimate survival horror showdown.” Early fan reactions have praised the trailer’s grim atmosphere, brutal intensity, and nostalgic nods to the original films.
Wrong Turn 9: Last Turns in the Woods will premiere in theaters globally on October 10, 2025, just in time for Halloween — promising to be a spine-chilling finale to one of horror’s bloodiest sagas.
