The trailer, released by 20th Century Studios in collaboration with Blumhouse and Marvel Studios, teases a gritty, brutal, and surreal horror-action spectacle unlike anything fans have seen before. The teaser opens with Wolverine (Hugh Jackman reprising the role) wandering through a misty forest in upstate New York — searching for a missing group of campers — only to stumble upon Crystal Lake, now abandoned and eerily silent.
“Something’s wrong here,” Logan growls, his claws slowly unsheathing as a chilling presence lurks in the shadows.
Moments later, Jason Voorhees (played by stuntman Derek Mears) bursts from the darkness, wielding his iconic machete, and the screen erupts into chaos. The trailer is packed with blood-pumping moments — bone-crunching fight scenes, haunting woods, eerie flashbacks to Jason’s past, and Wolverine unleashing raw rage in a desperate attempt to survive the night.
In one jaw-dropping scene, Jason is seen tanking a full-speed pounce from Logan and tossing him into a tree with inhuman force. Another shows Wolverine clawing through Jason’s mask — revealing… something monstrous underneath.
According to the official synopsis, the film explores the darker elements of both universes, with Wolverine investigating a government experiment gone wrong — one that may have awakened something ancient and indestructible beneath Crystal Lake.
Directed by David F. Sandberg (Shazam!, Lights Out), the film promises a “visceral, R-rated experience blending horror, mutant action, and mythic terror.” The score, composed by Bear McCreary, adds intensity and dread to every frame.
Fans online are calling the trailer “madness in the best way possible” and “the crossover no one expected but everyone suddenly needs.”
WOLVERINE vs JASON VOORHEES slashes its way into theaters Halloween 2025. Until then, watch your back… and don’t go into the woods alone.
