In a poignant revelation, Shannon Price, the ex-wife of late actor Gary Coleman, has spoken out following allegations made against her regarding his tragic death. In an interview with Inside Edition aired on February 17, Price vehemently denied any involvement, asserting, “I did not hurt him. I have nothing to hide.”
Gary Coleman, best known for his role in the classic sitcom “Diff’rent Strokes,” passed away at the age of 42 on May 20, 2010, after suffering an intracranial hemorrhage resulting from a fall in the home he shared with Price. The couple had married in August 2007 but divorced a year later. Following the incident, Coleman was rushed to the hospital and placed in a medically induced coma, ultimately leading to his removal from life support.
The recent Peacock documentary has reignited discussions around Coleman’s death, with some of his friends suggesting that Price may have played a role in the tragic incident. In response to questions about her actions during the emergency, Price explained, “I actually had to run around looking for a towel because we didn’t have any in the downstairs bathroom.” She described the situation as “the first real traumatic experience” she had ever witnessed.
Amidst the accusations, Price expressed her frustration, stating, “When you’re pointing the fingers at me, you better make sure your hands are clean.” She emphasized that both the police report and Coleman’s death certificate indicated her innocence in the matter. In 2010, former police chief Dennis Howard confirmed that there were “absolutely nothing suspicious” about Coleman’s death and that no criminal investigation was warranted.
As the documentary stirs emotions and reignites public interest, Price remains resolute in her stance, insisting she would never have harmed her husband, highlighting the deep personal toll of the allegations made against her.
