Anaheim Ducks blue liner Jacob Trouba and St. Louis Blues captain Brayden Schenn set off fireworks on Sunday night, trading haymakers during the first period of their matchup at the Enterprise Center.
The tussle featured heavy right hands coming back and forth. Both pugilists stood their ground, but in the end, it was Jacob Trouba who prevailed in the spirited tilt.

The punches rained down on Schenn until Jacob Trouba knocked him to the ice. The officials then stepped in to break up the brouhaha, leaving Trouba as the victor.
Trouba and Schenn each got a fighting major with Schenn getting an additional penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct.
While Jacob Trouba won the fight, the Ducks headed into the dressing room down 2-0 after the first 20 minutes.
Blues pound Jacob Trouba and Anaheim Ducks
When everything was said and done on the ice, the St. Louis Blues skated away with a lopsided 7-2 win over the Anaheim Ducks. Jordan Kyrou, the unfortunate recipient of Jacob Trouba’s body check, registered three assists on the night. Meanwhile, Brayden Schenn opened the scoring, getting his 16th of the season.
Ultimately, the Blues cruised past the Ducks, scoring three power play goals and one shorthanded goal courtesy of Mathieu Joseph.

Joseph took the puck following a scrum along the board, going one-on-one against Olen Zellweger. Zellweger did well to take the pass away from Joseph, forcing him to shoot the puck. However, Ducks netminder Lukas Dostal was soundly beaten by the shot, giving the Blues a hardworking, shorthanded marker.
Joseph’s goal was the death blow to Dostal’s night as he was pulled after the second intermission. Dostal gave up five goals on 14 shots. Backup Ville Husso entered the game in the third period, surrendering two goals on 12 shots.
Overall, it was a tough night for the Ducks, who are now 29-31-7, and in sixth place in the Pacific Division. With the Ducks essentially playing out the string, they are now looking toward the NHL Draft. According to Tankathon, the Ducks are on pace for the eighth overall pick this season with roughly a 6.0% chance of winning the first overall pick.
