While Max Verstappen is doing his utmost to win the first Grand Prix of the year in Australia, he does not have his pregnant girlfriend Kelly Piquet with him for support. The girlfriend of the Dutch driver is staying in Paris, visiting various beautiful spots
Piquet shared images on Thursday evening showing that she is staying at the luxurious Le Meurice Paris hotel. On her Instagram, she posts photos of the hotel and the delicious croissants they serve. Piquet indicates that she cannot get enough of the French delicacy. On Friday, she started her day with coffee from the well-known café Café Kitsuné. She then visited several sights in Paris.
Among her visits was the Notre Dame, which has recently been restored after a major fire. In the church, she took beautiful photos of various statues and lit a candle. Piquet is now a few months pregnant, and in the photos she takes, her 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 bump is clearly visible.
Meanwhile, Verstappen has begun his first race weekend of the new Formula 1 season. In the night from Thursday to Friday, the Dutchman completed his first two practice sessions in Melbourne. Verstappen clocked the fifth and seventh fastest times but could not make much of an impression. Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc proved to be the best drivers in the initial races.
In Melbourne, Verstappen is also racing for the first time with Liam Lawson. The new teammate of the Dutchman also did not have a good practice session and did not break into the top ten.
