Every F1 2025 team lineup ranked worst to best

As Formula 1 gears up for the 2025 season, excitement is building around the driver lineups across the grid. In a recent video analysis, pundits ranked each team’s lineup from worst to best, shedding light on the dynamics and potential of each pairing.

At the bottom of the list, Aston Martin’s duo of Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll was scrutinized for a perceived lack of balance. While Alonso continues to shine as a team leader, there are concerns about Stroll’s ability to learn from the veteran, leaving the team struggling to challenge the top four. Following them, Yuki Tsunoda and Isaac Hajar at Racing Bulls are noted for their enthusiasm but face challenges as both drivers adapt to the high-stakes environment of F1.

Alpine’s pairing of Pierre Gasly and rookie Jack Duan is seen as stable but lacking excitement. Meanwhile, the combination of Nico Hülkenberg and F2 champion Gabriel Boretto at Sauber is praised for its potential, ranking higher due to their prospects of lifting the team amidst a challenging transition.

Mercedes’ George Russell and rookie Kimi Antonelli come next, with question marks surrounding Antonelli’s readiness for F1. The duo is seen as a gamble for the team, with mixed expectations for their performance.

The rankings take a surprising turn with Williams’ Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon landing in the top three. Their collaboration is viewed as a potentially successful partnership, aiming to restore the team’s former glory.

In a close battle for the top spots, Ferrari’s Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc rank just below McLaren’s Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris, who are lauded for their established chemistry and teamwork. Despite questions surrounding Hamilton’s role in a new team environment, both lineups are seen as formidable.

Ultimately, as the 2025 season approaches, the excitement surrounding these driver pairings promises a thrilling year ahead in Formula 1, with each team bringing unique strengths and challenges to the grid.
