The MonsterVerse is roaring back to life as Legendary Pictures announces the third installment in the Godzilla vs. Kong franchise. The film is set to release in summer 2026 and promises to deliver the most ambitious and action-packed chapter of the series to date.
Adam Wingard, who directed Godzilla vs. Kong and its sequel, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, will return to helm the project. This time, the story expands the MonsterVerse mythology further, introducing new kaiju and exploring the origins of the titans’ rivalry. According to Legendary’s press release, Rise of Titans will showcase a globe-trotting adventure where Godzilla and Kong must unite once again to battle an even greater threat—an ancient, awakened predator known as Leviathan.
Alexander Skarsgård and Rebecca Hall are confirmed to reprise their roles as Nathan Lind and Ilene Andrews, respectively. Millie Bobby Brown is rumored to make a surprise return as Madison Russell, connecting the storylines from Godzilla: King of the Monsters. Joining the cast is Diego Luna (Andor), who will play a mysterious scientist with ties to the Hollow Earth.
