The next time you tell yourself that you have “no time to go to the gym,” remember that Marian Rivera is a hands-on mom and a full-time actress and still has time to work out for an hour, four to five times a week. (If there’s a will, there’s a way, really.)
Cosmo.ph spoke to Marian’s trainer: Coach Antonio Sietereales. They follow CrossFit as their training modality; according to Coach Antonio, CrossFit is “constantly varied functional movements performed at relatively high intensity.” They focus on movements that are used on a daily basis, doing exercises like: squats, deadlifts, and overhead presses.
Coach Antonio and Marian “don’t focus on a specific body part” because they “make sure to cover everything.” As to what motivates Marian to show up for her workout sessions: “Marian is a very family-oriented person. She wants to be strong in life; that’s our primary goal. Looking good is just a bonus.”
On Marian’s favorite workout moves: “Core workouts! She’s a petite girl with a really strong core foundation. She’s great at gymnastic movements (like ring workouts), and she loves doing burpees!”
Her least favorite exercise: “It’s really hard to tell because she’s always smiling while working out.”
On what her diet is like: “This is what I really like about Marian. She really eats clean. She loves fish! And most of the time, she cooks her own food. I really just tell her to stay away from sugar because, as we all know, it’s the enemy.”
