Nick Knowles shared his unapologetic support for his girlfriend’s lingerie brand after the couple faced backlash over their racy social media posts.

The DIY SOS star, 62, revealed he has been told he ‘shouldn’t post’ about her business but defiantly insisted he ‘couldn’t help himself’.

Nick shared a picture of a woman wearing a white bra, knickers and suspenders from the brand, alongside the caption: ‘Looking for a grown up Xmas gift folks?’

Proudly promoting his girlfriend’s brand – Boa Boa – Nick shared the Instagram Stories with his 312,000 followers.

Touching on the criticism he has faced, Nick said: ‘So a year ago my fiancee started a lingerie company and I’m so proud of her success – it’s called Boa Boa.

‘People say I shouldn’t post about it but when you love someone and are proud of their hard work and achievements you just can’t help yourself.’

Katie and Nick caused controversy when she shared a naughty snap to her Instagram to celebrate Nick’s 61st 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡day last year.

Katie hit back at trolls after they slammed her for posting a racy picture of the pair together.

The hateful comments from trolls come after the lingerie mogul took to Instagram on Thursday to post a carousel of snaps celebrating her fiancé Nick’s 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡day.

In one particular snap, Katie can be seen posing in a white bustier and thong suspenders as Nick was pictured behind giving her a helping hand.

She captioned the post, ‘Happy 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡day to my love and best friend (and fiancé) You make me smile and laugh all the time and I’m so happy that you’re in my life so we can keep making lovely memories and taking special pictures with my eyes closed.’

However, the very racy snap attracted some troll comments as some branded Katie ‘desperate’ and ‘cringe’.

On Friday, Katie shared some nasty comments on her Instagram stories, and captioned the post with ‘Today’s trolling delight.’

In the snap, one troll commented, ‘Your mother must be so proud… what a claim to dame, Nick Knowles’ current b***h (number 67) and getting your a***e out on line. Plus if you’re 33 I’m the queen of sheba’.

While another commented: ‘Why would you want people to see this. So desperate and cringe.’

However, Nick appeared to clap back at the trolls by showing how unfazed he was by the comments.

Taking to his Instagram Stories, the star posted the snap and captioned it: ‘When your fiancée owns a lingerie brand and asks you to straighten the straps on a photo shoot (shocked emoji)’.

It comes after Nick gushed about his fiancée Katie, saying she will ‘travel almost anywhere’ in the world to be with him.

The star asked for the 𝓈ℯ𝓍 toy business owner’s hand in marriage after she flew out to visit him while he was on a trip to New Orleans.

Nick appeared on ITV’s Lorraine on Friday, saying, ‘She will travel almost anywhere I’m working.

‘When I get home, I spend time with my little boy, who is just nine. Wherever I am in the world, she’ll come and join in too.’

Nick is father to son Eddie, nine, with his ex-wife Jessica, while he also shares daughter Tuesday and son Charlie with his ex-wife Gillian.

Katie has daughters Savannah, eight, and Alex, five, from a previous relationship.

Nick recalled the proposal: ‘I got her a sweetie ring. If she doesn’t travel to see me, we don’t get to see each other.

‘She came out to New Orleans to see me, and I thought this would be a great place to propose, but I didn’t have a ring, so I fashioned one. I got nail scissors on a Haribo, so it had a jewel.

‘My biggest fear was that she’d eat it because she loves Haribo. But she didn’t. We’ve replaced it now with a proper one.’

He added: ‘She will travel almost anywhere that I’m working. When I get home, I spend time with my little boy, who is just 9. Wherever I am in the world, she’ll come and join in too.’

Along with selling 𝓈ℯ𝓍 toys through her company, Boa Boa, Katie also designs lingerie.

Nick explained: ‘My girlfriend Katie designs lingerie. She’s already designing specific bras for [cancer] survivors.

‘There’s this thing of women not being able to get hold of lovely things. She wants to be body-positive. It’s such a lovely thing.’

TV star Nick, who split from his wife Jessica Rose Moor in 2016, made his first appearance with Katie in September 2021 after ending his romance with PR guru Emily Hallinan in February 2020.

Nick and Katie made their public debut as a couple at a restaurant in Bath after being friends for several years.
