The original Silent Night, Deadly Night follows a young boy scarred by witnessing his parents’ brutal murder at the hands of a man dressed as Santa Claus. As an adult, his trauma resurfaces, leading him to don a Santa suit and embark on a bloody path of revenge. Infamous for its graphic violence and controversial marketing, the original sparked outrage, especially for its depiction of a 𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁er Santa.
Despite protests and being pulled from theaters, it became a box-office success, even outperforming A Nightmare on Elm Street during its opening weekend.The reboot aims to reimagine this unsettling tale while paying homage to its roots.
