According to reports, the couple owns one of the most luxurious cars in the world in the form of a Rolls-Royce Boat Tail. The mid-sized luxury coach-built grand tourer is arguably the most expensive street-legal new car since its launch in 2021. One of its standout features is the extendable deck that turns into a cocktail bar with two fridges.

Although the Rolls-Royce Boat Tail can be described as the epitome of modern luxury, especially in the automobile sector, it is nothing compared to the 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO on a dollar-for-dollar basis. Less than forty of these cars were produced and Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason owns one of them, with a valuation of over $50 million.

Nick Mason rose to fame as one of the founding members of the English Rock band Pink Floyd. In 1977, Mason purchased a 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO, paying roughly £37,000 for the car, which he had earned from the sales of the Pink Floyd album Dark Side Of The Moon.

The initial sum Mason paid for the car stands at an astounding £300,000 plus when adjusted for inflation. However, the car is much more than merely its hefty price tag. During an interview, Mason opened up about purchasing the car for a cost that was already worth a fortune in the 70s.

It was a lot of money back then and people said I was mad, but it’s turned out to be a pretty good investment.

Mason made the above statement about purchasing the car, admitting that he primarily bought it because of his love for automobiles and racing.

However, Mason’s decision proved to be a good investment, with the car now being valued at over $50 million. Furthermore, with Mason’s own history as a legendary music icon attached to the car, his Ferrari 250 GTO could easily become one of the most expensive cars to be ever sold if the veteran drummer ever decides to put it up for an auction.
