“Are you asking on behalf of your own GIANT f**king nose?” – Sean Avery leaks hilarious chat with Paul Bissonnette

Former NHLer Sean Avery recently underwent a cranial facial release with NYC chiropractor Dr. Doug Willen. Avery shared a video of the experience on his Instagram where the chiropractor guided him through the treatment.

Avery claimed that he had been wanting to try this procedure for years but hadn’t had the chance until now. Avery said he had suffered a broken nose in 2002 during a fight with Doobie Westcott, who was then playing for the Columbus Blue Jackets, and had since experienced some breathing difficulties, especially through his left nostril.

After Sean Avery shared his cranial facial release procedure video on his Instagram stories, it caught the attention of former NHL player and sports personality Paul Bissonnette. In a private message that Avery later posted on his Instagram story, Bissonnette reached out with curiosity, asking:

“Hey, I saw that nose thing you did. Do you have a deviated septum? Have you got surgery? Or if you do that, you don’t need surgery?”

Avery was quick to fire back. He responded in true comedic fashion, writing:

Dr. Willen performed the release by inserting a small balloon in Avery’s nasal passage. When the balloon was inflated, Avery joked about the intensity of the experience, comparing it to how he imagined doing cocaine might feel. The 44-year-old went on to describe the sensation as if a line of relief was drawn from his nose to the middle of his brain and into his ear.

Sean Avery called out Mika Zibanejad for poor display

Last week, Sean Avery didn’t hold back following the New York Rangers’ 4-1 victory over the Detroit Red Wings. In a 20-second clip posted on his Instagram stories, Avery called out center Mika Zibanejad for what he felt was a disappointing performance.

He accused Zibanejad of “hiding” during the game, taking the easy route with “backdoor plays.” Avery even joked about the star forward spending his summer partying.

“DJing in Ibiza all summer,” Sean Avery said. “Bear down, Mika, bear down. The season’s started, Mika.” [H/T Magazine International]

Oddly enough, Zibanejad actually had a strong game, tallying three points with a goal and two assists on the occasion—his first of the 2024-25 season. Even Zibanejad admitted that he, Chris Kreider and Reilly Smith are still working on building their chemistry. The pressure is high on the player considering his hefty $68 million contract.
