Marian turns a year older donning three core looks that, just like her spirit and sartorial choices, will never go out of style
Last year, Marian hopped on to the youthful trend revival of bows, waist chains, and butterfly designs for her šš¢š«šš”day shoot, which proved that her graceful aging was thanks to her youthful energy and vibe. This year, theĀ actressĀ still played around with modernity, but with an emphasis on the themes of lasting elegance.
With an insider on stylist Melville Sy, MEGA Entertainment gives you a rundown of Marian and her teamās playfulness with time and sartorial ensembles.
Denim diversion
Kickstarting her 39th šš¢š«šš”day festivities, the actress welcomed her season with a Chanel-marked denim set and Schiaparelli heels and chain belt. The oversized jacket was a strategic peek through Marianās toned abs, with the volume of the outerwear matching the Leo celebrantās lioness-like waves.
Tweed twist
Since Chanelās establishment of the tweed coordinates, the fabric has been associated with the structure of the Maisonās codes. Our very own Filipino designer Mark Bumgarner gives his iteration of the classic style with plaid-patterned coordinates. The bandeau top and pocketed pencil skirt was a contemporary nod to the academia core. With the Bvlgari necklace and a Chaumet bangle finishing the whole ensemble, the šš¢š«šš”day lady definitely aced the fashion grading system.
Mermaid motion
Capping off her šš¢š«šš”day shoot layout is an homage to one of the artistās most iconic roles to dateāDyesebel. The tribute to Greek mythology may be accidental with the Cult Gaia fringed halter top and Versace skirt, but it was definitely a nod to epics and mythological figures that, just like Marian, are magical beyond the hands of the clock.
