UFC fans insist Joe Rogan is ‘ready’ for the octagon as commentator and podcaster shows off his brutal striking in viral clip

Joe Rogan had fans rooting for him to take a fight after the UFC commentator and podcast host posted a video of himself hitting a heavy bag.

Rogan, 56, showed off his impressive physique and brutal striking power in a viral clip posted on Tuesday. The short video primarily showcased Rogan’s kicking ability while also throwing punch combinations.

Fans took to the comment section to compliment his shape and form, with some insisting that he would do well in an MMA or boxing match.

‘Bro should train [for the] UFC,’ one user suggested, while another commented: ‘Mans a beast.’

‘He would beat Jake Paul for sure, too,’ a third suggested. A fourth user claimed ‘He is ready,’ after the previous comment read: ‘Imagine being kicked like that.’

The former taekwondo champion is known for his comedy, commentary and massive podcast

While known for his work as a commentator, podcaster, and stand-up comedian, Rogan is no stranger to martial arts.

The New Jersey native took up karate at 14 and taekwondo a year later. At 19, Rogan won the US Open Championship taekwondo tournament as a lightweight and eventually became an instructor in the discipline.

Rogan also competed in amateur kickboxing and held a 2-1 record before retiring when he was 21 due to frequent headaches and a fear of injuries.

In the post, Rogan claimed that he was unable to kick for a year due to a knee injury, but he recovered with the help of healthcare company Ways2Well.

‘I went without kicking for a whole year to deal with a knee injury and thanks to @ways2well it’s now 100% pain free,’ Rogan captioned. ‘The video of me hitting that bag was yesterday, and in the past if I did that the next day my knee would be sore, but today I feel absolutely perfect.’

‘That bag is 130 pounds and the amount of torque generated by kicking full blast is just insane. It’s one of my favorite things to do and the best way ever to release stress, but before @ways2well it felt like every time I did it it just fucked my knee up more. I can’t thank them enough.’
