Scottie Scheffler won his second Masters title this month to cap a stunning season that has seen him dominate the PGA Tour – and his caddie Ted Scott has reaped the rewards

Scottie Scheffler might not be at Tiger Woods’ level yet, but he’s certainly emulating the golf great by making his caddie a wealthy man. The 28-year-old has had a stellar 2024, raking in over $62 million in prize money with his second Augusta title and the FedEx Cup crown this month.

On top of these wins, Scheffler also claimed five more PGA Tour events and took home the Olympic gold in Paris. Caddies typically get 7 to 10 percent of their player’s tournament winnings, which means Ted Scott, Scheffler’s caddie since parting with Bubba Watson in 2021, is earning big bucks this year.

On the Pardon My Take podcast, Scott confessed he’s had to get an accountant because of his hefty earnings. “We have a girl that helps us pay bills,” he said.

“Basically because I’m a 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥 and I can’t keep track of all that stuff. She quickly took over that job and texts me at the end of each week, saying, ‘Hey, this is how much we’re paying Ted’. I’m like, “That’s great. “Like Scott, Steve Williams, who was Tiger Woods’ caddie, became New Zealand’s highest-paid sports personality in 2000, out-earning even Olympic champion Mark Todd and rugby legend Jonah Lomu.

Williams kicked off his time with Woods in 1999, a standout year as Woods secured three out of his 15 major championships. The duo’s collaboration stretched until 2011, with Williams now estimated to be valued at close to $20 million. More than just a financial partnership, Woods, who is now 48, was there at Williams’ wedding down in New Zealand back in 2005 and even backed his number one guy in dirt track racing, which Williams favored.
