When Animal Control officers in Lexington, Kentucky, recently received a call about a husky stuck in a local bank, the officers were confused.Officials rushed to the scene, and soon they saw for themselves: a large husky named Sebastian was stuck under the road, desperately staring through a crack in the concrete slabs.Officials rushed to the scene, and soon they saw for themselves: a large husky named Sebastian was stuck under the road, desperately staring through a crack in the concrete slabs.
“We don’t know how he got there,”a Lexington-Fayette Animal Welfare and control representative told The Dodo. “But we suspect that he got in through the drain pipe and could not figure out how to get out of the way he got in.”
The officers were glad that, despite his sticky situation, Sebastian was in good spirits. Soon they began work on removing the drain cover for easier access.
“[Sebastian] has always wanted to meet the Ninja Turtles!”Lexington Fayette Animal Care and control joked in a Facebook post about the rescue. “But instead, he came face to face with two animal control officers!”
Soon the energetic Sebastian was climbing out of the cesspool, again on solid ground, where he belonged.
Returning to the animal control facility, the rescuers called the concerned Sebastian family, who were overjoyed that their furry boy was safe. The family made plans to pick him up as soon as possible. Meanwhile, the friendly Sebastian was busy making friends at the rescue, and he is definitely ignorant of the trouble he caused.
“He was rescued and enjoyed his stay,”the delegate said. “I will do it 100 percent again.”
