Vincent Desharnais playfully expressed his thoughts on J.T. Miller during the 40th annual Jake Milford Canucks golf event on Monday.

When fellow teammate Connor Garland inquired about the insights he gained from facing the Canucks in the second round of the playoffs last term, Desharnais responded with a lighthearted jab that made everyone laugh at the event.

He jokingly said:

“That J.T. Miller’s an a**hole.”

The Edmonton Oilers and Vancouver Canucks had a thrilling playoff series in the second round last season. It was a hard-fought battle that went to seven games, with the Oilers ultimately eliminating the Canucks by winning the series 4-3.

The intensity of the matches made it an exciting and memorable showdown for both teams and their fans.

Vinnie Desharnais played 16 games for the Oilers in the playoffs before signing for the Canucks in July. Desharnais had a two-year and 114-game tenure on the blue line in Edmonton.

J.T. Miller’s performance could see a dip next season

J.T. Miller had an impressive season last term, hitting over 100 points for the first time in his career. This has raised expectations among fans, who are excited to see what he’ll do next season.

However, analysts suggest that Miller might experience a drop in his performance. They reckon that if other key players, like Elias Pettersson, take on bigger offensive roles, Miller’s scoring could be more moderate.

After achieving the 100-point mark, Miller expressed that his focus is on doing his job, as this not only improves his performance but also increases the team’s chances of winning (via Vancouver is Awesome):

“I’m just trying to do my job,” he said. “And if I do my job, that gives our team a better chance of winning, and if everybody does that to a man, it makes everybody look better.”

J.T. Miller has been with the Canucks for the last five seasons and has accumulated 402 points through 143 goals and 259 assists in 364 games. He’s collected 639 points through 238 goals and 401 assists in his 12-year NHL career and 799 games.
