Who brave enough to talk to the dead?” Kaleidoscope Home Ent. has revealed an offiical UK trailer for an indie horror anthology film from the UK titled Lore, which first premiered at FrightFest London last year. It’ll be debuting in the UK on the Icon Film Channel for streaming this summer, then in UK theaters and on VOD later in the year. An isolated group of backpackers innocently tell their favourite spooky stories around a campfire, unaware that with each word they say, they unleash another supernatural horror into reality. A “gripping and gruesome anthology horror”, this acclaimed film stars Richard Brake, Andrew Lee Potts, Bill Fellows, and Rufus Hound. Featuring three segments directed by James Bushe, Patrick Ryder, and Greig Johnson. As usual with anthology films, one or two of these segments look way better than the others. The wooden masks look very creepy, but the other mask does not. Still might be scary anyway? Have a look.
Here’s the official trailer (+ poster) for Bushe & Ryder & Johnson’s film Lore, direct from YouTube:
Four young thrill-seeking friends book a horror-themed camping excursion led by Darwin, a strange and eccentric guide. One night around the campfire, Darwin encourages them to tell the scariest and most twisted story they can think of. As they recount tales of sinister spirits and malevolent demons, the group soon realises that these stories will have very real consequences for them all. Lore is an anthology horror film with segments written and directed by filmmakers James Bushe (of Cannibals and Carpet Fitters and many short films), Patrick Michael Ryder (of Red Sky and many short films), and Greig Johnson (of a few other shorts). Produced by Adam Bouabda. This initially premiered at 2023 FrightFest London last year. Kaleidoscope will debut the horror film Lore in the UK only exclusively on the Icon Film Channel via Prime Video starting August 26th, 2024 and in theaters September. No US release date has been set.
