ionsgate is sharpening its tools for yet another SawΒ installment. The studio has set a date forΒ Saw XI, with the franchiseβs Instagram account announcing a Sept. 27, 2024 for the series.
The latest installment,Β Saw X, was a surprise critical hit for the franchise, becoming the first in the series to win over critics and earn fresh Rotten Tomatoes score. It was a commercial hit as well, earning more than $107.6 million globally on a $13 million budget.
SawΒ veteran Kevin Greutert was behindΒ Saw X, which turned a more empathetic eye toward antagonist John βJigsawβ Kramer (Tobin Bell). βThere are so many directions we could go, but for me, thereβs no obvious one coming out of this film. I really wanted it to feel like a kind of final send-off for the Jigsaw character, but never say never,βΒ Greutert toldΒ The Hollywood ReporterΒ in October.
No other details have been revealed about the new installment. So far, it has the release date to itself.
