Phase 5 of the MCU will continue to lay the groundwork for Avengers: Secret Wars with projects like Ant-Man & the Wasp: Quantumania, Loki Season 2, and notably, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty – a film slated to premiere just a few months before Secret Wars. The Kang Dynasty is likely to directly tie into Secret Wars, similar to the relationship between Infinity War and Endgame. As a time-traveling conqueror with ambitions to conquer all realities, Kang may be the one to cause the collapse of the multiverse, forcing the superheroes to unite in Secret Wars to restore their realities.

Currently, based on Marvel Studios’ achievements, Avengers: Secret Wars is likely to draw more inspiration from the 2015 comic book series of the same name. The kickoff for MCU Phase 6 has been confirmed as Fantastic Four – a project that will bring Earth-616’s Mr. Fantastic to the big screen. This character plays a crucial role in restoring the shattered realities in the original comics. Additionally, it’s highly possible that Doctor Doom will join the MCU in the future to become a worthy successor to Thanos in this new era of the cinematic universe.

Of course, Marvel Studios might also take a completely different approach from the source material, as they’ve done with Captain America: Civil War or Avengers: Age of Ultron. Nonetheless, the MCU has already begun seeding the downfall of the multiverse to deliver a grand and perfect spectacle with Avengers: Secret Wars, marking the conclusion of the Multiverse Saga.
