The Batman Part II was initially scheduled for release on October 3, 2025. Regrettably, it has been delayed by nearly a year, pushing the premiere to October 6, 2026. This means it will be at least two-and-a-half years before we get to see Robert Pattinson suit up again, marking a four-and-a-half-year span between the original and the sequel.
This delay doesn’t come as a surprise, considering Warner Bros. Pictures announced the film’s October 2025 debut in January 2023, just five months before the onset of a six-month labor dispute in Hollywood due to the writers’ strike. On the original release date, The Bride!, director Maggie Gyllenhaal’s reimagining of Bride of Frankenstein, will be released by Warner Bros. This film stars former Dark Knight Christian Bale, Jessie Buckley, Annette Bening, and Penelope Cruz.
The initial plan was for The Batman Part II to commence production in November 2023. However, production has yet to begin, and no new cast members have been announced.
There were unconfirmed reports suggesting that filming began in March 2024, but the month passed without any response from Warner Bros. Nonetheless, insider Jeff Sneider claims that The Batman Part II will commence filming in April 2025, with the cast set to be announced in the fall of 2024. However, this report should be treated with caution.
