Toni Kroos at Adidas’ event for the launch of the limited collection of his iconic boots today.
Adidas is honoring the most well-known wearer of the boots, Toni Kroos, while simultaneously celebrating the adiPURE 11Pro 2’s tenth anniversary with an extremely limited run.
The midfielder for Real Madrid and Germany, donning adidas’ 11Pro design—a model that hasn’t been available for purchase in the past ten years—has won four Champion League titles and the World Cup.
The adiPURE 11Pro 2, which debuted in 2013 in a range of colorways, was eventually retired to make room for the line’s next installment. Nevertheless, because Kroos has worn the silhouette every season since then, the boots have unintentionally gained a cult following due to his unwavering devotion to them.
adidas has unveiled two 11Pro iterations for the forthcoming limited rerelease: an ultra limited edition that is made to match every detail of Kroos’ footwear and a wider release version that replicates the original while adding some contemporary touches.
The 2009-released adiPURE III soleplate and the German flag graphic on the heel are features of the limited-edition Kroos special. To complete the ideal replica of Kroos, the boots will only be offered in his size, 8.5.
The wider version comes with the current COPA Pure soleplate and is devoid of the German flag pattern. But it still has the same re-stitched upper composed of incredibly light and soft Taurus leather, which molds to the contour of the foot—a trait that made the adiPURE 11Pro 2s famous.
