Erling Haaland had to shove away his ex-Manchester City team-mate Cole Palmer as he tried to listen in to a chat with his former side on Sunday.
Palmer came back to his haunt his former employers when he converted from the spot in stoppage time to fire Chelsea level. The Blues had played out an all-timer with City at Stamford Bridge, with the pair sharing the spoils in a high-scoring encounter.
And with the score tied at 4-4, and City having a free-kick on the edge of the area, Palmer decided to get in the ear of his former team-mates – only to be shoved away by Haaland.

“Just made it 4-4 vs his old team then does this for a laugh,” one fan joked. While a second responded: “Palmer thinks he still plays for Citeh!”
“Visual representation of how Cole Palmer was removed the from @ManCity WhatsApp group,” a third said. And another added: “The moment Cole Palmer forgot he was a Chelsea player!”

It was the first time Palmer was playing his old club, who he left to the tune of £45million over the summer, and he admitted after the game: “Yeah, [It was] very strange.
“That’s the first time I’ve played against City since I left but I have the utmost respect for the club that I spent 15 years at. It was nice to see some friends – unlucky not to get the win but it was a great game.
“I was excited before the game to see some faces and show what I can do. It was a great game and we went behind a few times and bounced back.”
