In the 2023 Ballon d’Or voting, Mohamed Salah finished in 11th place.
The Liverpool forward was among the 30 players shortlisted for the men’s accolade last month, and his final standing was disclosed tonight in Paris at the annual award presentation.
The honorees for the 2022–23 season were determined by a panel of journalists from the top 100 FIFA member nations based on their performances in international competition.
Salah finished the season with 30 goals for the Reds across all competitions, making it the fourth time in his first six seasons with the club that he had scored 30 or more goals.
The Egyptian also set a career high with 16 assists for Liverpool in the regular season, the most he has ever recorded in a single campaign.
Salah scored 50 goals for his country and became the Premier League’s all-time leading scorer for his team in March.
