This special will also live stream on Peacock and Michaels will be the shows executive producer for both networks. This show is destined to replace the famous NBC New Year’s Eve special that was hosted by Carson Daly since 2017, when a traditional NFL game stopped airing instead of that. If this works in terms of viewership, there is a chance Lorne Michaels also gets the spot next year.
