Instagram’s Youngest Millionaire: The Remarkable Story of Ronnie Foden

Phil Foden‘s four-year-old son Ronnie has become something of an overnight social media sensation, gaining a staggering four million Instagram followers – and turning himself into a millionaire in just four months and he is still in reception class at school.

The eldest 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥 of the England footballer, 23, and partner Rebecca Cooke, 22, also has a talent manager, who lands brand collaborations for the account, which is managed by his parents.

Through his parents, the youngster has partnered with Propel Talent Group, a company that claims to manage ‘the careers of some of the UK’s most sought after talent’, focusing on ‘digital talent.’

While some of the posts on Ronnie’s account are adorable snaps of him on the football pitch with his famous father, others are of the cute youngster on his own, posing in stylish outfits.

Ronnie’s account got an impressive one million followers in just 14 hours after it was set up and two days in he had over two million. He is already nearly halfway to catching up to his father’s 9.6 million Instagram followers

The account, which is verified on Instagram, shows Ronnie posing in photos with a number of brands tagged including ethical clothing brand Little Bird and Manchester-based shop The Couture Club.

Instagram accounts with more than one million followers are considered ‘mega-influencers’ and can earn upwards of £10,000 per post for a collaboration, while big celebrity accounts can earn upwards of £1 million, according to Influencer Marketing Hub.

Ronnie’s parents set up the account after a meme of the little one went viral with him dubbed ‘El Wey’ or ‘The Dude’ following Manchester City’s Champions League triumph over Inter Milan in Istanbul back in June.

He became an unofficial mascot for the team thanks to cute photos of him with his father on the pitch and a selfie with Erling Haaland in the dressing room.

He was on Foden’s shoulders when Jack Grealish led a singalong for Rodri to 90s dance classic Freed from Desire by Gala in a clip that was posted online.

‘His personality has made him who he is. I think he went quite viral after [we] won the Champions League. He just reminds me of myself when I was a kid and he’s very funny,’ Foden told Sky Sports News.

‘I couldn’t believe it. Every comment on my social media page was asking to see him. So I thought I’d give the fans what they wanted and create an account for him and it just blew up.’
