Andy Robertson, a standout for Liverpool, jokingly ordered Curtis Jones to “get your hands off me” after his team’s victory at Wolves on Saturday. The left-back was crucial in helping Jurgen Klopp’s team briefly take the top spot in the Premier League standings.Hwang Hee-chan’s goal gave Molineux an early advantage over Liverpool.
If not for the hosts’ wayward finishing, the Reds could have easily fallen farther behind before the break.
Ten minutes into the second half, Liverpool, who had recovered, equalized through Cody Gakpo. However, they had to wait until Robertson scored a rare goal in the 85th minute to take the lead.Jones joined in the celebrations and seemed to relish the Scots’ strike. Images captured Jones cradling Robertson by the neck as the latter yelled with delight.

However, Robertson later joked that he wasn’t pleased with Jones’ behavior and posted the photograph on his Instagram story. He added the phrase “Get your hands off me now” as the image’s caption, along with two laughing while sobbing and a red heart emojis.
Jones made his 100th overall appearance for Liverpool. Hugo Bueno’s late own goal sealed the three points as he assisted in seeing out a 3-1 victory.
Five games into the season, only Manchester City has more points than Liverpool. With four summer arrivals, Klopp had to reconstruct his midfield because he was playing without Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold on Saturday.
Robertson is inspired by what he has observed in the younger players and newcomers to the group. He thinks that once certain seasoned stars come back from injury and suspension, things would only get better.
It’s a fresh start, he told TNT Sports. We have a lot of new players, a new style of play, and other things. I believe we simply feel liberated.
We have talented, young players, and you may have noticed it in the first half when it was time to simply put the ball in play but we may have still been trying to force it and other such things. But in the second half, they simply emerged and played fearlessly, and we made some excellent substitutions.
“Darwin Nunez created issues, Harvey Elliott created issues, and Luis Diaz enters the game at halftime. We have a good team, but guys like Trent, Thiago, and other key players are still glaringly absent.
We can only get stronger because they weren’t on the squad today. However, if everyone stays in shape, we think we have a team that can compete, and we need to keep proving that.
