Erling Haaland raves about Jeremy Doku after Manchester City beat West Ham
Branded as ‘incredible’ by Pep Guardiola, the 21-year-old’s headline moment emerged in the 46th minute after he showcased his quick feet to level the scores for City.
But even aside from the goal, Doku’s dribbling, ability to wriggle out of pressure and strength to hold off defenders were excellent.

Jeremy Doku could become a superstar under Pep Guardiola
Erling Haaland was right to laud Jeremy Doku, who was easily the best player on the pitch as Manchester City maintained their winning start to the 2023/2024 Premier League season against West Ham.
While the Belgian international has been known as a huge talent for years, it was expected that a raw prospect like him could take time to settle into life at City and in the Premier League.
But only in his second game, Doku seems to have adapted to the treble-winners’ tactical setup and has all the 1v1 ability combined with athletic gifts to thrive in English football.
However, it is fair to say that the youngster’s game still needs polishing and there is no better coach to help him reach the next level than Pep Guardiola.
Having worked with young wingers in the past like Pedro Rodriguez, Raheem Sterling and Leroy Sane in the past, the Spaniard was imperative in them becoming well-rounded wide forwards.
Considering how talented Jeremy Doku is, he could be destined to reach the top as well under Pep Guardiola’s tutelage.
